Welcome to the beginning of another great school year! I am excited to have the opportunity to teach health and physical education to your student. I have included my email above so if you have any questions or comments, please email me.

 

My goals

  • Promote a healthy lifestyle by changing negative habits and/or promoting positive habits

  • Provide a wide range of activities for students to participate in and enjoy

  • Encourage the use of teamwork, sportsmanship, persistence, and effective communication inside and outside of the classroom

What you’ll need for health and physical education:

  • Physical education uniform-Richard Allen t-shirt, Richard Allen sweatpants, Richard Allen sweatshirt, sneakers

  • Notebook

  • Pen or pencil

When you’ll have health and physical education:

  • 5-3 Mondays and Thursdays

  • 5-4 Tuesdays and Fridays

  • 6-3 Mondays and Thursdays

  • 6-4 Tuesdays and Fridays

  • 7-3 Mondays

  • 7-4 Tuesdays and Fridays

  • 7-5 Thursdays

  • 8-3 Mondays and Thursdays

  • 8-4 Tuesdays and Fridays

*Please wear the physical education uniform on only the designated days.

What we will be doing in health and physical education in September:

  • Identify the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, effective communication, and persistence and demonstrating these qualities during activities

  • Health-related and skill related components of physical fitness

  • The importance and effects of moderate to vigorous physical activity

  • Team building activities

  • Soccer

Why students should be taking health and physical education:

  • Enhances an individual’s ability to concentrate and maintain focus

  • Important for healthy growth and development

  • Prevents sleep deprivation

  • Helps in relieving stress and anxiety

  • Physical education helps make an individual happy
