Public Comment Procedure:

The RAPCS Board of Trustees affords members of the community to comment during the public board meeting in the public comments phase of the meeting. Generally, School Board Members Do Not Respond To Public Comment During A Meeting Or Hearing.

  • Each Speaker May Speak Up To Two Minutes. ... The Board Generally Allows Up To 30 Minutes For Citizen Comment On Items At The Beginning Of Meetings
  • The Board requests that comments related to an individual student-related matter be directed to the appropriate staff, and not shared at a public meeting where the disclosure could violate applicable confidentiality requirements
  • Speakers are encouraged to be courteous and refrain from personal attacks or private discussions. Speakers should address the entire board, rather than specific members or staff members
  • The board reserves the right to limit speakers due to time or inappropriate content
