Focuses on the task and what needs to be done some of the time. Student requires reminders and prompts to be on task.

Rarely focuses on the task and what needs to be done. Lets others do the work.

Time-management

Routinely uses time well throughout class to ensure things get done on time. Student has put in quality time in class, to learn the dance routine.

Usually uses time well throughout the class, but may have procrastinated on one thing. Student has put in time intermittently, but has learned the dance routine.

Tends to procrastinate, but always gets things done by the deadlines. Student has put in little time, and needs improvement on completing the routine.

Rarely gets things done by the deadlines.

Quality of movements

Provides work of the highest quality. Student demonstrates speed, power and accuracy in their movements.

Provides high quality work. Student demonstrates one or two of the following, speed, power and accuracy in the movements.

Provides work that occasionally needs to be checked. Students show little speed, power, and accuracy in their movements.

Provides work that usually needs to be checked on the quality of their movements.

Dance attitude and character

Always has a positive attitude about the task(s). Student is able to demonstrate the ability to perform to the characteristics of the specific dance genre.

Often has a positive attitude about the task (s). Student some of time demonstrates the ability to perform to the characteristics of the specific dance genre.

Occasionally has a positive attitude about the task(s). Student shows little effort to demonstrate the ability to perform to the characteristics of the dance genre.
