Welcome To History Class.

Supplies need for class

  • Pens- black or blue
  • Number 2 Pencils only
  • Marks/ color pencils
  • Tissues
  • Four marble notebooks
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Two folders one for homework/ one for classwork

History Class School agenda for the first 10 weeks

Week 1: August 28 & 30

Both days we will go over the following

Introduction of myself to the student

  • Students introducing themselves to the class  
  • Doing some icebreaker and getting
  • Going over the classroom rules and expectations
  • Go over homework policy
  • Go over project policy
  • Go over morning discussion and do now question

Week 2: September 3-6

  • Students will complete a do now question every morning
  • Still going over classroom norms and expectation
  • Going over the things that will be covered during the school
  • Students will create their passport that will be used throughout the school year.
  • Students will be giving their textbooks

Lesson 1 & All of the topics that will cover

Week 3: September 9-13

  • Students will complete their do now question and share out their thoughts and answers.

Topics covered: Origins of civilization

  • The distant past
  • The epic of Gilgamesh
  • Distinguish essential from incidental information

Week 4 September 16-20

  • Students will complete their do now question and share out their thoughts and answers
  • Lesson 2 

Topics Covered

  • Humans spread out
  • Related events in that times
  • What were later stone age people like
  • What do we know about early human migration
  • How did humans adapt to varied environments

Week 5 September 23-27

  • Students will complete their do now question and share out their thoughts and answers

Topic Covered

  • Related Events in Time
  • Developing Complex cultures
  • When did people start to create art
  • What do we know about stone age religion
  • When did people start to farm

Week 6 September 30- October 4

Topics Covered

  • New ways of life
  • Where did farming begin and how did it spread
  • How did farming change human culture

Week 7 October 7-11

Topic Covered

  • The rise of civilizations
  • How did cities lead to civilizations
  • What are the feature of civilizations
