Curriculum

We believe the middle school years hold unique opportunities to nurture students as they develop physically, socially and emotionally toward the foal of impacting their world. Our mission at Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School is to work hard to meet the needs of every student in order to provide them with the best learning environment possible for academic success. This includes participation in a wide range of class opportunities outside of core subject areas, such as social emotional learning, wellness, art, and technology.

Our newly developed environmental science curriculum, in collaboration with Bartram Gardens, will assist students in understanding the physical environment and developing an appreciation for the natural world. Every classroom has a library with authors and characters from various cultures to serve as both mirrors and windows into various human emotions and experiences. We created a wellness program that emphasizes psychology, growth, grit, and the importance of sleep and nutrition. Furthermore, our counseling team is proactive in providing resources to students for common middle school issues.

All students will take Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clubs in our after-school program.
